“Keep silent before me, islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come near, then let them speak. Let’s meet together for judgment.  Who has raised up one from the east? Who called him to his foot in righteousness? He hands over nations to him, and makes him rule over kings. He gives them like the dust to his sword, like the driven stubble to his bow.  He pursues them, and passes by safely, Even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.  Who has worked and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, Yahweh, the first, and with the last, I am he.”  Isaiah 41:1-4

This is what Yahweh, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Yahweh of Armies, says: “I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.  Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.  Don’t fear, neither be afraid. Haven’t I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I don’t know any other Rock.”  Isaiah 44:6-9

“Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel my called: I am he; I am the first, I am also the last.   Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens. when I call to them, they stand up together. Isaiah 48:12,13
